HELMAN SECHRIST Architecture was founded December 1990 in the basement of Jeff Helman's home. Jeff later moved to historic Green Block, and hired Brad Sechrist as the firm's first full time employee. Jeff and Brad worked previously together at another firm a few years earlier.
After 5 years in Green Block, HELMAN SECHRIST Architecture moved to the historical Cornish home at Second and Jefferson in downtown Elkhart, and began the renovation and rehabilitation of the structure.
The firm has since grown from the early days of Jeff, Brad, and Jamie to its current size of 7 employees.
In December of 2003, Brad Sechrist became Vice President of the company and his name was proudly added to the identity of the firm.
