After owning the original summer cottage for more than 15 years, the Owners decided it was time to tear down and rebuild in order to make a permanent move to the lake. However, retention of the classic “cottage” feeling was or prime importance, serving as a reminder of the simplicity of the previous weekend home.
Utilizing a bold color palette, combined with traditional cottage detailing, a home reminiscent of “yesterdays” cottage was created. Stone, clapboard siding, and cottage trim details all contribute to a true “lake” feeling.
Owner comment: “We are incredibly blessed to know you and live in such an easy-to-live-in beautiful home! Your design is awesome, and we will remember 2008 fondly. We absolutely love our house, and so does the dog. Enough said.”
